Lynn Meiners specializes in original, limited edition, hand-painted etchings and embossings (Intaglio prints). Her etchings are printed on archival paper, and each one is individually painted with Winsor-Newton watercolors. The central theme of her work is the desire to transform nature into art. Love of nature and close observation have continued since her childhood in Colorado with her father, a wildlife artist and sportsman, and her mother, a professional musician and student of natural history. Lynn prefers to work from life. The family gardens and her pets are portrayed often. Other subjects are North American and exotic wildlife, Great Lakes landscapes and natural history, mythology, art history, and travel in England. Lynn has participated in many individual and group shows and has received numerous awards. Her colorful etchings are available in galleries in the USA and abroad. |
